The Community of Duck Bay offers many options to it’s residents for recreation, personal wellness and community events to grow and enrich community ties and member relationships. Included in these are:
- Monday and Wednesday Gym Nights at the Duck Bay School, including: Volleyball, floor hockey, ping pong, basketball. These events are open to youth and adult residents of Duck Bay and surrounding areas.
- Organized Baseball evenings for youth and adults.
- New Years Eve Social event with hot dogs and fireworks.
- Father’s and Mother’s Day events including a dinner prepared by the recreation center.
- Annual Easter Egg Hunts; Haunted House with candy; Halloween Dance and Costume Contest; Santa visits.
Canada Day Celebration with horse shoes, baseball, other games and fireworks. - Metis Week at the Duck Bay School, which includes:
A fishing derby; costume contest; jigging contest; duck call contest; card tournaments; square dancing; skeet shooting; saw logging; fiddling; and fur trade presentations. A weekend event is also held for adults at the Duck Bay Community Hall.
